Our Story
The Roasted Bean was born from a simple dream: to create a space where great coffee and genuine connection go hand in hand.
Founded in 2010 by husband-and-wife duo Marco and Elena Rivera, we started as a tiny 12-seat espresso bar on Maple Street. Today, our cozy corner café serves hundreds of regulars every day — artists, students, remote workers, and neighbors who feel at home within our warm, walnut-paneled walls.
We source our beans directly from family farms in Ethiopia, Colombia, and Guatemala — visiting each partner farm annually to ensure fair pay, sustainable practices, and exceptional quality. Every bag we roast in-house is a handshake across continents.
